Caring Is First, Music Is Second!

I was chatting on the phone with a new customer and I noticed that he was a bit taken back by my interest in his band and his career.  As we chatted he explained that he called other guitar companies before he found New Sound Acoustics online and he was not treated or greeted in a kind way by those he spoke with.  He said he felt as though he was bothering them and they were quick to rush him off the phone.  Now, it's true that as the President of a fast growing company I have a ton of things to do but I try to give myself a good time limit to get to know our new customers we affectionately call NRS family members.  I feel that by engaging in my customer's lives, learning about their musical styles and what makes them tick it helps me to design and structure New Sound Acoustics to better meet their musical needs.  I like to learn from them and their habits and desires and adjust New Sound Acoustics to be an easy company for them to work with and hopefully make them feel like they can engage with me and the company any time they want because they know we care about them first then we focus on their music.

I'm a strong believer in customer service and support, before I launched New Sound Acoustics I purposely took a job as a customer service rep at a company so I could get a good understanding on what it takes to interact with a customer on a day to day basis.  I dealt with irate customers, nice customers, customers who I could not understand over the phone and some who I wish I could hire at my company!  This line of work prepared me to adjust and pivot to meet the demands and needs of my customers. 

Musicians are fickle at times and very creative people.  Some are so creative that they are out in the stratosphere with their requests sometimes and you really have to be on your toes to meet their creative demands. It is a challenge that I love to meet head on every day but it's more than that too; I truly and honestly love music!  Any kind of music from folk to bolly, African to polka, funk, R&B, rock, classical, flamenco, bluegrass you name it, you play it, I love it!  It is that intrigue, that level of love and respect for music that allows me to want to know more about the people that create these types of music.  My customers are some of the most creative and eclectic people on earth and I have the privilege of joining them on their cool musical journey by providing them with a well crafted instrument and support.  I think that is the coolest position anyone could ever be in.  New music will be written and created on these works of art I call the NRS guitar.  We would in an indirect way do it together.  I support and supply musicians with the instrument and they do the rest!

I care about my customers whether they are giant music stars playing in arenas or the guy who leads worship at his church every Sunday faithfully bringing a community together to sing to their creator, they are all number one to me.  I try my best to meet them at their level and you will be surprised how down to earth so many of them are!  I've implemented a phrase at New Sound Acoustics and that is "caring is first, music is second!"  I believe if I care about my customer and their music like it was my own band and my own career then every thing I do for that customer will be personal and I will work on their project as if I was working on my own personal project.  That's a cool way to be and that's a cool way to see things, live it and do it!  So know this; at New Sound Acoustics from the President down to the person who strings your guitar..... we care about youyour career, your music and this awesome NRS guitar that you will be playing on stage! We've got your back!  Play hard and peace to you!
